Really, really tired...

Sorry for the lack of updates and this isn't really a real one. A detailed day by day re-cap will come tomorrow (or the day after) after I'm done moving. It's been a pretty hectic last few days, but a cool past few days nonetheless. More to come...

PORNO

A large black gentleman is watching pornography right now, as I am in the 24 hour computer lab writing an essay. It seems the film involves 2 Asian women in identical pink and aqua bikinis having sex with a man wearing what appears to be a ninja suit. I thought I'd share that...

Well things are looking up...

Sort of anyway. I got a job interview with the UWM dining services on Thursday, it would be the perfect job to get since I don't have to go anywhere but school. Let's hope it works out (crosses fingers).

I got told that my parent PLUS loan got approved, but then I call the loan people's central office and it seems they don't have any of my info...I gotta sort that out tomorrow.

Grades went
through, gotta call the Cabo Rojo people tomorrow 8am. And then meting with Tammy Tailor about it at 2pm. For not being a "people person" Judith can be quite helpful.

Abs going good, loosing more weight, I'm proud about that. I also seems to be attractive members of the opposite sex in the gym. Now if only I weren't such a chicken shit I would actually talk to them...

Rubber Johnny

Rubber Johnny
The video I was talking about a few weeks ago. This isn't nearly as disturbing as I thought it would be (well at the beginning it is, kind of) but it's just plain cool. Cunningham has a great timing when it comes to coordinating sights and sounds. Again click on it; while it's more weird than scary, it's really cool.

…jets of thoughts…

Jets have been flying around for the past 2 days, being loud and annoying. At first I had no clue with military planes would be fighting over Milwaukee (it’s not like terrorists are going to attack Miller Beer), but it seems they’re part of some air show today. Whatever.

Anyway, it has been an ok few days. I got really pissed at the Brew city people, seems now that they hired me but I don’t start working till the end of august. I don’t know what the norm is here on the US of A, but to me that just does not seem fair. It seems pretty fucking deceiving if you ask me.

Last night I got drunk. And I mean D R U N K. And all cause of 4 or 5 MGD’s. Why am I becoming such a lightweight?

Well other than that nothing really exiting has happened, I know I’m getting A’s in both my classes, and have kept working out regularly. I’ve actually lost 15 lbs since coming back from Europe so I’m really proud of that. My goal is to be at 220 at the start of the fall semester.

...homesick...

I'm pretty proud of this little piece of work...

...i HATE being broke....

I hate weekends like this, weekends when I do absolutely nothing but sit on my ass at the computer or watching TV, and not being able to go out and enjoy myself since I have no FUCKING MONEY. God I miss PR so damn much, there's everything so good and sooo damn cheap...

...random picture....

Me and some friends in Venice, Piazza San Marco to be exact...

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday…

It's been a pretty cool past few days so far. I got hired at Brew City on Wednesday (well they told me they’re gonna do a background check and if nothing bad turns up I’m hired; we’ll I’ve never been arrested or anything so I guess I’m hired). I got to call them to see when my days start. If they haven’t called me by Monday then I’ll call them.

Thursday I met up with some of the Taliesin kids and we made a game plan for finishing up the drawings; now let’s just see if we can actually get it accomplished… Latter that day went to SummerFest for the Weezer/Pixies show. The opening act (The Fray) just flat out sucked. They had no energy onstage at all, and the lead singer keep making stupid wisecracks at the audience. They only seemed to get into it in the last song, which I guess will be their eventual hit single (or the one that they want to be their hit single, I say this because even thought they sucked, they seemed competent enough and their music is commercial enough for them to make it big). It was good that their set only lasted 18 minutes. Then after the logical wait time the Pixies went onstage. My God, I was totally blown away. I’ve never been more than a casual fan of them before, but damn their sheer power of their music blew me away. They were no frills, no bullshit; they just took the stage and played great song after great song non-stop for an hour and a half. Simply amazing musicians. When Weezer went onstage as the whole crowd was really into it. When they played “Buddy Holly” it just made my night. Over all a really great show. After that I just hanged with Max and Mora for a while, and then I went home.

Yesterday was interesting. I went to the gym for a while, and then got back home. I got home and I spoke with, I guess you could call her a former “significant other”, who I haven’t talked to in almost a year. It was nice catching up with her for a while, and even better knowing that I hadn’t made an enemy as I had thought. Time will tell if we ever become as good friends as we were before, but I hope so. In the very least she can give me pointers in the things I did wrong so I don’t repeat them with the girl I’m currently hitting on (or trying to anyway). After that I just hanged with Pat for a while and had a few beers, good times. And again I was reminded just how fucking funny drunk American women can be…

…stuff….

It feels weird I really haven't put anything up in a few days, but then I guess there's really no point in writing if there's nothing worthwhile to say is it? I guess I rather have a blog with a few worthwhile entries than one updated daily, yet full of sentences like "OMG THE NEW BATMAN IS THE SHIT111111111" (even though it is)…

Well what can I say? I spent all day Sunday in the lakeshore to see the fireworks display at sundown. I met a few cool people from the international students/church; thought I don’t know if I would ever go to their church like the wanted me too (after 13 years in a catholic school religion and me are like oil and water, we just don’t mix). But they were pretty cool people, and I wouldn’t mind hanging out with them in a social gathering again. When they fireworks finally started they were really cool. That is till the novelty wore off. They dragged on for like 25 or 30 minutes and while they were some really cool moments, in general it was all painfully repetitive.

Independence Day itself was kind of a drag at the beginning. I just wasted time on the net for most of the day, till Mochi woke up (around 4 pm!!). After that I was going to go with him to see Batman Begins again, but then I got in contact with Bryan and I ended up seeing Ben Folds at Summerfest instead. It was a really cool show. I’ve never been more than a casual fan of the guy, but he is a terrific live performer. He really knows how to pump up a crowd. And his music is just plain funny. We even got to see Ruthy from The Real World there; she was just casually hanging out there with a friend of a friend of Bryan. We didn’t actually go talk to her or anything; we’re not THAT much of pop culture whores.

Today started Pilates classes. I did a lot better than expected, given my healthy gut. This might actually help me get leans instead of just being a BS class I take to graduate on time. Oh and finished reading Fight Club, it’s surprisingly pretty close to the film, and I like the ending coda they have at the end of the novel a lot.

Well tomorrow is the Brew City interview. I hope I get the damn job, and I really hope I get there on time this time…

this has got me really intrigued...not for the squeamish...

I don't really know what to say other than view the site at your own risk. Disturbing stuff here. And I found so much info on this film, and um...images, that I'm just going to include the Google search link for it, so read at your leisure. Kudos to AICN for posting this...

Architecture – Freedom Tower Redesign

The new redesign for the Freedom Tower was released today...and I don’t know what to think. While it is a good modern interpretation of the classic NYC skyscrapers (Empire State, Chrysler, the departed Twin Towers), I can’t help but think that Libeskind sold out to the pressures involved in this project. It’s the new millennium, I would’ve really preferred a much more modern design like Libeskind’s original. That whole bit with Libeskind saying that the new design is better than his original seems to me like paid off ass kissing. Oh well, I’m just a measly architecture student, I really shouldn’t make such broad statements. It is a really nice project, and I’ll definitely try to visit it during construction and when it’s eventually finished.
