Well tomorrow start my new job, or more accurately latter today, so I should really get some sleep soon. Gym will be closed all week, and I will not get to my weight loss goal of weighing 220 lbs. Must quit all kinds of fattening sweets. Carbs good, give energy; fat baaaaaddd. Whoa went off on a tangent over there; anyway...
Finally, and I mean finally, all work is done on Taliesin project. Flying pigs and blood red full moons expected latter this week. Got sent the floor plans and the elevations (and the only people that got sent the elevations were the ones that worked on them; if the others wanted them for portfolio material, they should've actually contributed), did some Photoshop magic on them to make them all spiffy for my portfolio. Which reminds me, must start portfolio page on library tomorrow. And the model.
Made a decoration for the apartment in Photoshop, I hope to have it printed and mounted by the end of this week.
Friends leave for home on Thursday, and roommate comes in on Monday. I'll be nice to be alone for a while.
This week marks one year I left home to study in Milwaukee. All in all I really like it here, and this place now (also) feels like home. While living in the States has it's disadvantages (everything, especially food, is way to expensive; it's fucking freezing in winter), I really like the whole Milwaukee "scene" and way of life. Nobody looks at you kinda weird for dressing different or not liking the type of music everybody likes like in PR; here nobody really gives 2 shits about a stranger's life and I wouldn't have it any other way...
Taliesin work is moving along steadily, if all goes smoothly we're going to be done by the end of the week.
Lost some money on some fees with my bank, that sucks.
Gained weight unfortunately, must be from the fact that I am getting home cooked meals all the time (i.e., rice for dinner always).
Awkward moment tonight (thought it was cool at the same time). Don't really want to reveal it on the internet...
Gonna start working on my portfolio Thursday. Really got some nice ideas going, something handmade.
If you know me, you probably now I'm a huge Crow fan. So here's my SPOILER FILLED review for the turd that is The Crow: Wicked Prayer.
Well, like I said before, it’s been a busy few days. I moved 3 days ago, and I’m still adjusting to the new place, organizing things etc, etc. Got the job at the Student Union, so I’m really glad about that; its means a secure job till I graduate.
We went back to Taliesin last weekend for Mike’s graduation; and for measuring some of the stuff we had left. I really enjoyed the time I had over there (it’s always a party in Spring Green, WI pop. 1,400), thought I was reminded of how much some people can frustrate me. Oh well, had a great time, and it seems we are finally going to finish this, and this grade should make my GPA climb even higher (I got all A’s in
Well today I finally got some semblance of order here in my new room; I assembled the desk and organized my books. I really like this new place, you see a tree out any window, and it’s close to Downer, that’s a really happening neighborhood. Only thing could be that some friends are living with me right now, and they’re having some problems (hence they’re living with me till they get a new place). It’s not bad at all since it’s good to have a home cook meal for a change, but sometimes I feel like the Narrator felt about Tyler and Marla in Fight Club…
Another good friend recently came back into my life, feel really good about that.
Oh and one last thing…remember that larger black gentleman I posted about earlier? The one that was watching pornography in the campus 24 hour computer lab? Well turns out the guy is a hacker (hence he can log in without being a student of faculty) and also a sex offender that assaulted a girl leaving the computer lab. So if you are in or around the UW-Milwaukee area, beware…
